A Gathering of Grandmothers is an 80-minute video that highlights sessions from the Grandmothers’ Gathering that took place in Toronto in August 2006. Intended for use by grandmothers’ groups as a resource for those who were not able to attend, the video includes testimonials and workshops led by African and Canadian grandmothers.
The video comes as a two-disc set: the first disc is the 80-minute video documenting the Gathering; the second disc features key speeches, music and the reading of the Toronto Statement — the grandmothers’ message to the world.

This video is not intended to be shown as a 'stand-alone'. Should you wish to screen a film about grandmothers caring for AIDS orphans at your event, we recommend Grandmothers: The Unsung Heroes of Africa.
