We work very hard to keep our administrative costs as low as humanly possible: in our first five years we spent less than 10% on administration.
Since 2003, the Stephen Lewis Foundation has distributed and committed more than $24 million to over 300 community-level initiatives in 15 sub-Saharan African countries. Learn more about the projects we support.
Financial Statements
As of June 2006, the Foundation's fiscal year now runs from July 1st to June 30th. SLF's financial statements are audited annually by Cowperthwaite Mehta Chartered Accountants. We provide audited financial statements upon request.
The CRA website includes tax returns for 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007. SLF's charitable registration number is 89635 4008 RR0001. Our previous tax returns are available on the Canada Revenue Agency's searchable charities listing at:
