Stephen Lewis Foundation Cookie Fundraiser Hawthorne II Bilingual Alternative Public School
Let's Sell Cookies!!
I thought of helping to do something for the Stephen Lewis Foundation--something to raise money. My mom and I talked about it and she suggested that we could sell cookies.
I thought it was a good idea because everyone likes cookies!! My mom, my sister Claire (she's 5) and I went to all the classes to talk about what we were going to do. Some kids signed up to help sell cookies and everyone signed up to make cookies--we had alot of cookies, all kinds but without nuts. We sold the cookies every Friday for 6 fridays and raised $600!
I did it to help orphans in Africa who do not have any parents because they died of AIDS. It is a very serious matter in Africa because then only the grandmothers are left to take care of many little children.
PS: The sign was made by Felicidad, grade 4.
You can sell cookies at your school too!
